Taking full advantage of the Heron Tower 'village' concept whereby every 3 floors shared a fully glazed triple height atrium Magnus London created an interior for client Landmark plc reflecting their status as a leading provider of high end catered office space.
The reception was designed to lead people via the reception desk to a lounge area, revealing the full impact of the triple height atrium with it's views over the City. Leather sofas and chairs combined with low lighting created an intimate club-like atmosphere that also served as a space for entertaining. A spiral staircase designed by Magnus was inserted into this space to provide a link to each level allowing clients and their guests the opportunity to enjoy the drama of the atrium on a daily basis.
A highlight of this area was an artwork conceived by Magnus Scholz and designed by artist Aubrey Laret. Running the entire length of the reception and lounge area it consisted of mirrored spheres of varying sizes on a black mirrored-glass background.
Level 17 provided a mix of meeting rooms, board rooms, offices and entertaining area while 18 and 19 contained a flexible layout of offices of varying sizes. Kitchens, tea points and seating areas on each level provided staff with places to relax while enjoying the open space of the atrium.
